TIME AS A KIWANIAN: about 30 years

I joined Kiwanis because I retired early. My friends persuaded me to join and I attended because I had the time for it. I also joined because they supported my Troop I am the Scoutmaster for.

One thing I like about Kiwanis is how we give back to the community. We have a pancake breakfast for the 4th of July Fitness Run for Fun and we cook and serve over 800 pancakes and meals. I also like the stuff we do towards the community, schools (events for schools) along with troops.

​

Outside of being a Kiwanian, I like to go camping and to the Hollywood Bowl, Disney Concert Hall, and Disneyland.

​

As the Kiwanis President, I try to command meetings and bring up meetings that you have to do to support other things and take charge of other events. I also attend the Key Club meetings and to see if there was anything they needed. When planning these events, talk about food (ex. Pancakes  for relays).

​

A fun fact about me is that I helped out with the Kennedy scholarships (scholarship interviews).
