HOME CLUB

The home club is the foundation of Key Club. Each home club is unique compared to clubs from other schools. Every club is part of a division with other nearby clubs. Home clubs are named after the school's name and then "Key Club" at the end.

DIVISION

Divisions are comprised of home clubs in a certain area. There are multiple divisions in Southern California alone. Divisions are usually named with a "D", a number and then a letter representing the 4 cardinal directions, "N, E, S, W". DCMs, Divisional Council Meetings, are usually held once a month with home clubs in that division. More about the history of the division HERE.

REGION

Divisions are furthered categorized into regions. Our Region 3 is comprised of D4N, D4E, D4S, D4W, D4C, D30N and D30S. Regions are very diverse with people from other schools and areas. Luckily, we can see them once in a while during regional events such as Beach Boomba and RTC (Region Training Confrence).

DISTRICT

Districts are made up of the regions in different states. In our case, District 3 combine California, Nevada and Hawaii. Thus, we are known as CNH for short. Though our district is very big, we are able to come together for our annual DCON, or District Convention.

INTERNATIONAL

All districts are a part of Key Club International. That means that all clubs, divisions and regions are part of Key Club International too. We are all part of a worldwide community that focuses on volunteering and helping out others. International Conventions, or ICONS, are held annually to bring all Key Clubbers together.

Division 30 South was formed in the year 1996 when Angela Oh from Loara High School became our first Lt. Governor after the Division 30 split into North and South. Since the very beginning, our divisional mascot has always been the SUN where we shine while serving our communities. It has been 20 years since we became a division and we have continued to shine, grow, and learn, as we keep the power of the SUN alive.

Our division is also sponsored by only 3 Kiwanis clubs: Cypress, La Palma, and Greater Anaheim. This creates a familiar environment for Kiwanians and Key Club officers to communicate effectively in order to help this division thrive. In the end, all 14 schools of Division 30 South have contributed so much to uphold a tradition of excellence for service and spirit.
