Each month two members are recognized by JFK Key Club for demonstrating the four core values of Key Club and going above and beyond member expectations. We do our best to recognize these individuals who work hard for the sake of our school, club and community.

OCTOBER
Jaenne McCoy (JM) Castillo
Senior- Class of 2020
Why did you join Key Club? Although my best friend pushed me to be in Key Club, it was the members who continued to spur my love for this organization. My initial motivation to joining Key Club was to improve my social skills as well as fulfill my hour requirement, however through the journey in doing so, I grew a small passion towards this organization.
How have you changed since you became a member? Joining Key Club has helped me to become a more confident person as well as improve my communication skills as I was always talking to new people and building bonds.
Interesting Fact? An interesting fact about myself is that I recently came from the Philippines & I love food☀️
Daniella Ly
Freshman- Class of 2023
Why did you join Key Club? I joined Key club because I love to help others. I am always joyful when I get the chance to serve the people around me, and just put a smile on their faces. I love to serve because as a Christian, I know that I am able to praise God through my acts of service. I also joined because my brother was in Key club and I look up to him as one of the role models in my life, and I got to see Key club change him for the better! :)
How have you changed since you became a member? Being in Key club has allowed me to improve in my ability to talk to others and although I'm still awkward, I know that I'm slowly getting better!
Interesting Fact? I've never been out of the country.

Tristin Cozine
Senior- Class of 2020
Why did you join Key Club? I rejoined Key Club this because of all the amazing opportunities it gave to both connect and help serve my community.
How have you changed since you became a member? Because of Key Club, I have been able to provide growth within myself and my community. I am far more expressive with myself as a result of being able to build up my confidence, and am thankful.
Interesting Fact? For an interesting fact, I’m going to spend my Thanksgiving break hanging out with friends and binging series with them!

Why did you join Key Club? I joined Key Club because I wanted to meet new people and interact with different people. But after I went to Fall Rally, I meet different people from different part of California and got to interact with others.
How have you changed since you became a member? Being in Key Club made me interact with new people and it allowed me to help my community.

Senior- Class of 2020
Why did you join Key Club? I decided to engage in clubs that I recognized because I struggled to fit into a specific club. So, I found interest through friends that I knew from classes. Key Club was one of the clubs that I enjoyed separate from schoolwork.
How have you changed since you became a member? I have met several people of different ages and interacted with the school community around me. I've learned a lot about communication, my influence on social challenges, and service leadership from the other students in the club and events that I have taken part in.
Interesting Fact? I play the piano and tennis in my free time.
Rachel Lee
Sophmore- Class of 2022
Why did you join Key Club? I joined Key Club to not only get volunteer hours but also to serve my community and grow closer to the people in the division.
How have you changed since you became a member? I think I was able to grow as a leader and become more committed to the things that I am involved in.
Interesting Fact? I came from Korea and skipped second grade.

Junior- Class of 2021
Why did you join Key Club? I joined Key Club because I had a few friends in the club and they seemed to like it a lot so I decide why not join as well.
How have you changed since you became a member? Being in Key Club has made me love helping out in the community.
Interesting Fact? I play the ukulele.

Why did you join Key Club? I joined Key Club because I really love volunteering and serving my community!
How have you changed since you became a member? Since I’ve became a member, I’ve made SO MANY new friends from other schools and I have learned how wonderful Key Club is as a family.
Interesting Fact? One interesting thing about me is I have a possibly very unhealthy boba addiction :)
FEBRUARY
Harshaun Khehra
Junior- Class of 2021
Why did you join Key Club? I joined Key Club because, at the time, this club stood out to me the most. I was excited to see what this club has to offer volunteering wise and in other aspects.
How have you changed since you became a member? Before I was a member, I was generally shy when I went to volunteering events but this club helped me gain confidence and now I am more comfortable and interactive as I volunteer.
Interesting Fact? An interesting fact about me is that I sometimes take big steps when signing up for things and enjoy the unexpected, just like I did when I decided to Join Key Club.
Sophie On
Freshman- Class of 2023
Why did you join Key Club? I joined because I heard about the club itself a lot before club rush, and so I decided to join since I figured it would be a good first club.
How have you changed since you became a member? I’ve finally been able to experience volunteering and helping the community, as I’ve never volunteered out on my own before (so this is a new experience).
Interesting Fact? I enjoy art a lot! I post every so often on social media, but I have yet to take Kennedy’s art class yet.

Cybelle Zozobrado
Junior- Class of 2021
Why did you join Key Club? I first joined Key Club as a sophomore, and honestly, it was a random decision. However, I can truly say that some of my best memories came from Key Club.
How have you changed since you became a member? Key Club has introduced me to new places and to new people. These experiences have helped me grow a bit and make lasting friends.
Interesting Fact? I used to live in Ohio, so I love the snow. I also play the trumpet and piano.

How have you changed since you became a member? I've met new people and began doing volunteer work rather than doing nothing.
